Trev Albert on Bama Defense

I heard TA on an interview today talking about the LSU-Bama game. He said that Saban gets all the credit for that defense at Bama, but he said most of the credit should go to the DC Kevin Steele.
He said the guy is a Saban clone. A perfectionist with attention to detail. He said he played one year on a team where Steele was coaching as DC. He says he remembers Steele stopping the defense on a play right before it started. He walked over to the LBers and made them move their legs 4 inches wider.
I hope Coach Miles wises up after this year and goes out and hires a top-notch DC that can properly handle all this talent.

We need a DC??? I haven't heard anything about this, and I am on this board quite a bit

Steele isn't the DC, Kirby Smart is.

I hope Charles Scott puts their legs up around their ears on Saturday.

Steele is a great coach and a great recruiter but let there be no doubt this is Saban's defense.
Steele got an upgrade from DC last year. I think he is assistant head coach now, i.e. more money. Kirby Smart has the DC title now.
We all know who the DC is though.

Did the LBers make a stop on that play? If not, then he must have been paying too much attention to something pointless.

Hmmm? I think Crowton is a full grade better than Jimbo ever was. And Nick has perpetual problems retaining assistants.

"Trev Albert on"
I got sick and knew better than to keep reading right there. For some odd reason I had to keep reading, and found myself even happier that comb over was fired!
