The light just came on for me

I finally understand why I can't stand Alabama. I realized I don't hate Saban.
After reading a few posts like this:
I understand clearly. No one will ever pay Saban more than Alabama. They aren't "serious" they are desperate to win. If Saban wants 10 mil next year...they will give it to him. 15 mil the next...he'll get it. Screw Academics, it's all football. That's what sickens me about Alabama.
If they were smarter they would have found Saban before we did.
I feel better now.

don't think anyone will offer him "more money". It seems to me that BAMA was serious about winning and did something about it.

yeah i agree. But the cards definitly fell his way. If you remember every offense i have seen in his tenure left alot to be desired to say the least. He got blessed with a killer offensive line, great backs (coffee) and a fricking veteran qb. He is the probably the best defensive mind in football but he hit a royal flush with the productivity of the offense this year.
lets see that record next year hhmmm???
I have no idea why randle or richardson would want to play on that kind of offense next year instead of being with the wizard and shepard.

yep. He has the kids mesmerized and is holding the University at gunpoint.

I'm afraid you are wrong. Our football program generates around 50 or 60 million. It helps with the entire university. Sorry

you are messed up if you think that Saban just brainwashes these kids.
I am sorry to say this, but they see what is happening at Alabama. They know that Saban is a great coach.. and they wanna be on a championship team.
As far as saying that Bama will fork over as much money as Saban wants.. yeah you are right. Because the University can. Because last year the football program ALONE profitted 32 million dollars... and we went 6-6.
Also.. Saban does more than most Head Coaches... he makes EVERY single decision for the entire football department. He has control over it all.. and he makes sure that everything runs correctly.
The cards fell his way?? yeah.. maybe a little bit.

Randle isn't going to Bama

As I'm sure ours does too...the point is it's ridiculous. And as I said earlier..if Bama had been smart they would have found him earlier. I'm sure you would feel the same way had the Bear left yall and ended up at LSU being paid any amount he wanted. Think about it.

While I do believe that Bama can always pay Saban what he wants. I also believe that eventually Bama will get sick of being extorted at the end of every year by Sexton pimp machine. Much like LSU did.
The Sexton pimp machine will start toward the end of this year extorting Bama. They will gladly ante up this year and probably next. Who knows when they too will get enough.

Our team made 67.2 million in 2007 according to the NCAA audit which is actually for the 2006-2007 season (pre-national championship)

No, everyone knows why you and every other disgruntled LSU fan hates Saban and Alabama and it has nothing to do with his salary.
