So once the mill is cranked up it’s a 24hr process till season is done? I’m ignorant on this process.

This. And the with the recent freeze, there were lots of farmers cutting their cane before the freeze hit and so that's a lot cane that needed hauling.

Interestingly enough, I actually got a behind the scenes tour of a sugar mill yesterday from a buddy that works at one. It was pretty damn interesting. Those guys working the mill do not have an easy job.
