FSU will be higher than that. They get Travis back and got talent out of portal. I think both teams are hovering in the 10-15 range

I think it’ll be a top 15 matchup with both teams being in the 10-15 range.

It will be the best game to start the year. I don’t see FSU upsetting us again. We’ll be a veteran team and the Perk Marten will be all over Travis Jordan.

With Jayden coming back (think what you want about him, but he’s much more well thought of nationally than he is on this site) with 40 starts under his belt (will he be the 1st 5-year starter at QB in CFB history), the entire OL coming back, Kayshon and the 3rd year WRs being back plus the additions at that position, the emergence of Harold Perkins in the national zeitgeist, Wingo, Smith, and Brooks being back, etc…I think we’re gonna get a ton of preseason hype.

Not predicting we’ll finish there, but I’d be surprised if we’re not somewhere around 5 to start the season. Bama, Georgia, Ohio State will probably start 1-3, but we’ll be up there with USC, Michigan, and maybe Clemson for those 4-6 slots. And Florida State could be in the bottom half of the top 10 themselves. Teams with big brands, recent history, and returning starters, specifically QBs, tend to be the ones given the benefit of the doubt in preseason polls. Sometimes pollsters will factor in schedules and use their 1st ranking as a prediction rather than a power ranking like it’s supposed to be, but even then, our schedule sets up nicely.

***I am not predicting this is where these teams, including LSU, will finish. Just start.

7 should be the lowest we are ranked, FSU no lower than 15

Florida State is going to be higher than us.

They'll be top 10. We'll be top 15.

Travis has 3rd best odds on 2023 Heisman currently behind Drake Maye and Caleb Williams.

I think we will be ranked within 2 or 3 spots of each other. Both will be in the 6-12 range. I could see us both in the top 10 to start. It could really go either way as to which team is higher. Both teams overachieved this season. Our recruiting class is better, but their portal class is a bit better, as good as ours is. Both starting QBs return.

Next season’s game will be much more hyped than this season’s based on the improvement on the field. Should be a good one.

Nah..

LSU winning the SECW this year, coupled with EVERYONE returning on offense, equals a lofty preseason ranking in 2023.

Doubt they'll be ranked ahead of LSU but both will probably be top 10 teams. If FSU is not top 10 they'll be right outside the top 10.
