What the actual hell.. you can't make this up. I never heard anything about this case.

I watched the first episode. No way in hell (even at the age of 18) I would have allowed the McDonalds manager or anyone else do that to me.

Pretty soon, the same idiot will come along from the other thread and call it a "god level prank." smh

1) I thought it was an isolated case. I had no idea that it was a nationwide scam.
2) "The Fiance" in episode one walked into the situation, saw what was going on, and realized that he could benefit from the stupidity of everyone involved. That guy should've gone to prison.

He did, judge would not accept plea agreement that gave him probation.
I wonder if the girl took him all the way to ejaculation.

Based on what was shown, pretty sure that dude was guilty.
He must have had one hell of a good lawyer.

Just watched the first episode and I was shocked.. You would think a normal person would find it strange that the "police" is having a naked 18 year old girl perform oral sex on him in back of a McDonalds.. or is it just me?

When I watching the first two parts it did occur to me that if they ever catch this guy they might have a legal problem finding a criminal charge that fits the harm he caused. It's kind of like when your mom told you, "If Billy down the street told you to jump off a bridge would you do it?" Well, this is kind of the adult version of that. You can maybe get him on impersonating a police officer but that's probably not a major offense.
I guess at the end of the day they blew it by immediately confronting him instead of putting him under videotaped surveillance and catching him in the act the next time he did it. But that raises a moral dilemma because you are basically allowing it to happen again and hoping it's not as serious as the first case they profiled in the documentary.

The Hoaxer was acquitted.
Just couldn't pin him to this nationwide hoax because he used prepaid calling cards.
The victim settled with McDonalds for about $700,000.

100% agree. If they thought they ID’d him from the wal-mart tapes, etc they should have tailed him and caught him red handed making the calls at a pay phone.
Seemed like they were rushing to get him caught.

I’m in the first episode but no way in hell the ‘managers’ weren’t in on this. The fact that the one that forced the girl to give him a bj because the cops said so should burn in hell.
Any manager that makes it to the strip search and doesn’t end it right there should fry.
Could you imagine telling an employee..”Ok, you have to give me a BJ…the cops are telling me it’s ok?”

Lol. Guessing you’re about 12. God, at least I hope thats the case. The idea your incel arse might be an adult is both frightening and sad.

My first thought at the time they brought the perp into the work office too. I figured he’d be trying to destroy evidence all night vs the cops laying low and watching him.

What a wild story. I watched Compliance and then the doc. I don’t think the managers were in on it at all, I think they were just ignorant. He targeted these small towns where there was little crime

shouldnt the managers know all the cops in a small town?

I turned it on the other day just for the hell of it. 10 minutes in and I was like ok this is messed up. I was pretty certain in the first surveillance video that it was going to end with her just being searched by the manager just in her bra and panties. When she called and brought her fiancé I was like ok this is about to get really bad
Felt bad for the girl that sued Taco Bell and lost because the judge was basically like "yea you need to lean a lesson the hard way." What douche to actually put the blame on her. These were young girls put in terrible situations by their manager. Easy to see how a young, gullible girl could listen and think she needs to do that to avoid getting in trouble. Not sure how a judge could blame that on her.
