USC is going to be great for a long time. Just like OU was, but never got over the "hump".
Riley hauled arse away from the SEC, but the playoff (even expanded) will go through the SEC.
I think he will win one at USC. Riley is such a douche, but I like USC as a football program.

Defense will always be Riley’s Achilles heel. He’ll never win a championship unless he can put together a staff that can field a respectable defense, something he’s failed to do so far at this point in his career.

SoCal teams will struggle somewhat to a watered down fanbase. Just too much to do in SoCal for football to take a prime position. USC will be improved but don't see them being consistent in the conversation for 'ship.
