Les Miles is not just an outcast here, but also in general (justified or not). How many times have you seen him as a guest anywhere or on TV after he was fired from Kansas following the Title IX stuff coming out? Zero. Before that, he was popular with the general public and could have had some kind of TV personality gig.
People like Ed. He is welcomed in places. He was making poor personal decisions in addition to coaching decisions and needed to be fired quickly, but Ed was able to do what Les never was never able to do and that's have an offense that maxed out on LSU's talent while going undefeated. Les had a great record, but the Title IX stuff probably assures that he won't be welcomed back at LSU anytime soon.
