Andor was boring as hell and nobody watched it
How do you know if it was boring, if you didn't watch it?

But no, Andor isn't a zap/pow action show, although plenty of people do get killed in it. Nor is it child-oriented. It's a thoughtful crime/espionage tale, with lots of intrigue and tension. And no Force users (which seemed to bother some factions). It's by far the most thoughtful show in the Star Wars IP, but it fits perfectly against the backdrop of Imperial authoritarianism and tyranny.
And the point being, it's 10x more well-written and acted than anything else Disney+ has put out. It shows how 'diversity' can be done right: you do get a strong female presence... a cold, cunning and ruthless woman who's the most dangerous and competent villain in the show. Because none of her strengths are unlikely- she's an ambitious count. Oh, and one of her rivals in the ISB is a black dude, who's also conniving and back-stabbing.
So the show runs counter to everything people bitch about Disney.

Amazon also gets bashed for being woke, and yet The Terminal List is basically everything the woke crowd hates.

Both shows are proof that tone and message comes from the showrunners, not the streaming service it's on.

If Cavill has control and wants to stay true to the story, it should be as good as his vision. Regardless of platform.
