Suggestions for a reliable fairly quick passport renewal service? Would like it renewed by the end of March at the latest, sooner would be better.

End of march is a long way off. You can renew online. I actually just renewed mine today.
If you want it asap the only option is to go in person and pay a small fortune.

Using the new online process? The link I was trying to use gave me an error so I assumed they stopped the trial

Yes the new online trial seems to work but you have to create an account and wait about an approval. I got approved same day.

How bad is the wait time usually? I gotta renew mine in the next few months but travel internationally once a month or so for work lately

How much does the in person same day thing you mention cost?

I had to do it about 10 years ago. It was easily $250, probably more. But I had to do same day.
