Just watch out because I am sure Tennessee has done called the "Musical Chairs Coach".
Oh and for the record, I like Saban, I don't blame him for leaving to get paid more $$$...it's HOW HE LEFT and HOW HE LIED...that's what made it personal to LSU!

I live in AL and this guy is just trying to stir the pot. There was another interview that Saban stated he understood why LSU fans were upset. Flamer!

saban didn't become the best coach lsu ever had until he left. give me miles anyday. he's a much better person than saban.

Bad Cat, and Alabama just loves all their past coaches. Wasn't there a guy named Shula that you guys fired. We at least give our coaches a shot to prove themselves.

The question was WHY LSU fans were upset about Saban at Alabama. And this is why.
When you go to a rival school that is so close and you are as competitive as Saban is, you are going to piss your former school off. And he has. He has tried to discredit Miles from day one with recruits and media.

ACtually, b/c he went to Alabama, which I do not understand. He had no loyalty to LSU, nor shoudl he. The real reason should be b/c of the way he left (lying, saying he has not plans to talk to anyone about a job --the day before he went on the Miami plane for an interview--). Many seem to conveiently disregard that. Some LSU fans behave as if they are still in love with a forme girl friend who broke up with them.

Calm down. Keep your panties pressed and folded. Unfortunately for you, this has nothing to do with USC. Secondly, the post was not directed specifically at you. Thirdly, I said "many", not "all" or "you". You know as well as I that MANY LSU fans are only angry that he went to Alabama and not the way he left. Some get it like you, but many still do not.

Saban doesn't owe LSU anything. You guys act like he was born and bred in La. He wasn't born down there, he never attended school there or anything else. It was a job for him...just like Alabama is a job for him. He turned LSU from the laughingstock of the SEC in the 90's to a true elite program, and won 3 championships in five seasons there. He also left behind the talent that would win two more titles for you. He didn't need anyone's permission to go to Alabama. He left the NFL when he realized he hated it, and the Alabama job was open. What was he supposed to do? Turn down 32 million and a chance to coach at one of the best college programs in the nation just as to not upset his former employer? Please, none of you would do that professionally...so by criticizing him, you are just being hypocritical. If you were miserable at a job, and you got offered a huge contract at a company that was the rival of one of your former employers, you wouldn't turn it down just so you wouldn't upset your old bosses, now would you? I don't hear UF fans hating on Spurrier for doing the exact same thing--going to the NFL for a couple of seasons--and then taking a job at an SEC division rival. Tubberville did the same thing switching from OM to AU. Nutt just did the same going from Arky to OM, even though he was forced out. Just business baby, but nobody cries about any of those situations like LSU fans do. Man up...move on.

The only thing anyone here has against Saban is that he is at Alabama. That, in and of itself, is more than sufficient to justify disdain, disgust and outright hostility.

Just wait, in a few years he'll leave Bama as well. It's his nature. I would not doubt that eventually ego takes over and he tries the NFL again. The man thinks his system will work anywhere, and that in Miami he faced a stacked deck. Also, once he wins it all at Bama, the challenge is over for him, and the first time the Bama diehards give him grief, he'll consider offers. It's just Saban. Great coach, restless soul.
