If not the correct board please advise. Looking to cut the cord. Recs for an outdoor antenna. Live in a sort of rural area. About right in the Middle East to west between Hammond/Gonzales. Looking to catch local channels out of Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

GE Outdoor HD Digital TV Antenna, Long Range Smart TV Antenna, Supports 4K 1080P HD Smart TV VHF UHF, J Mount Included for Attic or Outdoor, Weather Resistant, 29884 LINK

On Amazon $38. Works great. Try to get it up 12-16 feet and point toward the general LSU campus area.

The hardest signal to pickup will be Ch 9 in BTR. If you've got that, you're golden!

I would actually buy 2 of them. Point one towards BTR, and the other towards New Orleans. Combine the signals (use a splitter in reverse) and put an amp on it.

Any of you antenna gurus completely lose WUPL channels from Slidell today? They were scheduled to flip the switch to ATSC 3.0 today.

Maybe they're working on it or had problems from the bad weather. My ATSC 1.0 tuner can't pick them up any WUPL channels (54.1, 2, 3) at all anymore. Not a hint of a signal. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this today (12/15).

My contribution to this thread: I have a Clearstream Max-V antenna ($70 ) in my attic, running through a Mediasonic Homeworx ATSC Digital Converter Box that is also a DVR ($30). This converts the antenna signal from RF to HDMI. It runs through a Winegard LNA-200 Boost XT HDTV Preamplifier / amp ($44 ).

Baton Rouge area. I get Baton Rouge local and several New Oleans channels. About 50 total, but a lot of repeats

You have to do a channel rescan on your box. The should be there, but on other channels.

I have the HDHomeRun with the 3.0 tuner.

It sees the new 3.0 channels, but my Roku showed unsupported. They did show up on my Iphone on at 10 pm. When I tried at 9 pm they were black or not decoding. They show up as 1xx.y, for example, WWL 104.1. The Roku only supports 1.0 channels though.

I left the Laptop at home to run the Windows app and get the nerd stats.

Thanks. I must have caught them during the upgrade. I rescanned again this morning, and the ATSC 1.0 channels are back. Same display channels, but different frequency.

This week definitely has some weird reception for me.

WUPL out of Slidell's ATSC 1.0 seems to have changed from 488 MHz, which my antenna picked up well to 544 MHz, which is extremely spotty. Hope that improves-- one of those channels has Star Trek TOS every night.

When I rescanned, I am now picking up 4 Mississippi Public Broadcasting channels out of Bude. Never had a sniff of that before, not that I want it
