Concur with the permission aspect. If you're gonna take your dog with you somewhere, better get permission first. Don't just show up with is like a jackass.
I don't mind having certain dogs over, but pit bulls will always be a no-go. Not even risking it. Have a couple of friends with pit bulls and they usually volunteer that they'd never take their dogs somewhere there are other dogs.
It is nice to take your dogs places. They tend to not lay down when they're in different places so it helps get their energy out. But I'm not taking them somewhere that it isn't explicitly allowed or I haven't gotten permission first.
