Saban or Miles?

If you'd rather have Miles then what does it matter that Saban is else where? If Miles is a better coach then what does it matter that Saban is in your Conference?
Saban or Miles?

Ask me in three more years.

In three more years if Saban leaves and our new coach wins us a National Championship then I would probably have bigger things to obsess about then putting up billboards about Saban.
Bama fans and The Bear = LSU fans and Saban
... just let it go, guys.

Let me say this first. I like Saban. When Saban left...it wasn't Skip or Wharton, told LSU many times over to hire Miles. IT WAS SABAN.
With that being said, I think it's more of a situation that he'd coach a rival. For example, if Spurrier went to UT in 2002, or Bear went to Auburn.
Think about it. The person who not only brought your team back who we also helped make famous, is here basically trying to bring us down. Think about Bear at Auburn with Bo Jackson reunning the wishbone down the throat of say, Perkins. Think about Spurrier at Tennessee, throwing two bombs n the last thirty seconds to tell Florida fans they can't spell Chik- Fl-A withoput Fla.
That to some LSU fans is bad enough, but many high school coaches are now saying about how he (Saban) made LSU and LSU was nothing without him.
Now that irked the hell out of me....we were then , and are, either one of the top ten programs or close to a top ten programs of all time, 4th in all time SEC titles and had pretty decent success in the 80s (finishing first or higest ranked in the SEC five times that decade)and in the 1970s and 1960s. Death Valley, Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. All this was in place WAY before Saban.
We made him as much as he resurrected us.
Now the present.
When Spurrier left, and Zook took over no one said Florida was going to become a middle of the pack program. Yet when Saban left UF, Bama and others said LSU would.
LSU might have sucked for a few years, but LSU was always a great program and was historically always a top tier SEC team. Again, this irked us.
I honestly do not think Saban understood what was going to happen when he took the Bama job. All he cared about was getting the hell out of Miami. He realized how good it was at LSU. He failed to realize how going to Bama could hurt LSU. And instead of understanding, many think he badmouthed us. and while he calls it a misunderstanding, the emotion made his actions
reprehensible.
Many are going to be reminded of that this,
this very weekend.

Let's compare this to family. The SEC is a family, and LSU is your mother whome you love and worship.Lil Nicky is your father and in your eyes can do no wrong. One Christmas Eve, your a-hole father leaves you and your beloved mother for a job as a high dollar man whore in Little Havana, ripping your heart out on the way out the door! You try to hold no ill will, you still want him to be happy because he once brought you happiness. Then your wonderful mother brings home Les Miles.Your unsure of Les at first but you start to realize that he's a good man and truly loves your mother and after a couple years brings you as much happiness as your long lost father. Then one day out of the blue, you find out that your rotten back stabbing father shows back up in the family with the arrogant aunt that no one in the family likes anyway, because she is paying for his man whore services.Les couldn't be lured away from your beloved mother, not even by his long lost sweetheart. Now that son of a bitch father of yours is about to show up at your home with that sleazy aunt and try to make Les and your mother look bad when they are having a bit of a hard time. So let me ask you, who do you take, good Les Miles or Dick Satan?

I don't have a problem with Saban. I have a problem with: a) people who always compare Miles negatively to Saban and; b) people who are obsessed with Saban. He coached here. He was successful. He left. GTFOI

I like LSU's coach....I don't like Bama's coach, and I really don't care what their names are.

I don't know about that, but you can't spell "fil" without an i. And you can spell "without" without a "p".

When asked on Monday if he thought about how it would effect LSU when he decided to take the job at Alabama he said the following... "When making that decision I took into consideration what was best for my family, my children and myself." Seems to me he has his priorities perfectly in line, anyone who thinks any different should do some self-evaluating.
He's a coach. He gets offered jobs, he takes them. It's what a coach does, they coach football. If he realized that the pros weren't for him and that college ball is where his heart is, should he take a 2.2 million dollar a year job because it's not in the western division of the SEC?

and no Bama fans were pissed when Fran left?

No the SEC in not a family, it is a money making organization. LSU, a partner in this money making venture, hired Saban to help them be more successful and make them more money.
He did that, and his success got him a higher paying job, which he took. He was unhappy at this new job and a different partner in the money making venture of the SEC hired saban back to make them more successful and make them more money.
The original partner in the SEC (LSU) couldn't hire saban back. Saban took the offer by this different partner who offered him more money than at Miami. He took the job.
If he failed to make money for LSU, they would have fired him. If he fails to make money for bama, they will fire him. The program has no loyalty for the coaches. They view them as employees and pay them as long as they are successful.
So you say the SEC is a family, or perhaps just LSU is a family. If your brother got a higher paying job to work at a different place in town, would you not be happy for him?
I guess it doesn't work that way. The loyalty is only supposed to go one way. He is supposed to stay here until he is fired. OK, that makes sense.

This is very good.. you only forgot the part about where you and all your siblings went to great schools, got top notch degrees and high paying jobs thanks to good Les and his strong, ongoing support of your mom and your whole family... but when Dicky shows back up, he's telling everyone that you all only turned out so great because HE'S YOUR DADDY!!!

Saban is a great coach and recruiter; however, if we had saban last year, we lose 5 games. He would never, and never will 1)fake a punt 2) onside kick (unless in last minute of the game) 3) go on 4th down, etc. People forget saban went 7 and 6 last year at bama with 16 starters returning. I'll take Miles.

He would never, and never will
1)fake a punt I like not having to punt.
2) onside kick (unless in last minute of the game) 1st play of the game vs Tennessee last year.
3) go on 4th down, etc. I like getting it on 2nd and 3rd.
People forget saban went 7 and 6 last year at bama with 16 starters returning. Brought Alabama to #1 ranked in the country in only 22 games.
I'll take Miles. Not a bad choice, he's done great for you guys.
