13 yr olds should be more than capable of climbing a ladder stand. Unless they have a physical disability which in that case totally understand.

With that being said some just don’t like heights and that’s cool.
I would suggest buying a big “roomy” pop up blind and a Caldwell Field Pod for a rest. Hard to beat
