Economy is heading for the shitter, rates still rising. I expect that things will shift back in favor of the consumer sometime next year.

I’ve had a personal rule since 2018 to not buy a vehicle unless I can afford to pay cash for it. I’m hoping the rate increases open up some purchase opportunities for me.

Yep, I have a few big household projects and I'm waiting til summer 2024.

Also, if one is in the market for a car right now, there's no rule against going cheap and low for a year or two. If all cars are +15%, that 15% hurts a lot less when the price of the car is $20k instead of $80k.

Might not be able to carry all of Jaxton and Braxton's friends to travel ball in a brand new Denali, but I would tell them too bad. I'm not being held hostage by a dealer. Period.
