Daniel's would not have thrown the TD to Jenkins, once JD5 spun away it would have been a run for about 5 yards

Exactly. Daniels when pressured immediately looks to run almost immediately. He takes his eyes away from downfield and takes off.
Nuss kept his eyes downfield as he scrambled which opened up opportunities downfield.
Each guy offers you different things, but one offers a more open offense that would force defenses to defend the entire field.
