My first thought with Elon’s pretty sudden shift into politics was that he saw what Trump pulled off and was aiming to be the right’s next cult of personality folk hero. I mean when you are getting the conspiracy theorists here to gloss over literal brain implants you know you are getting somewhere. But he can’t even run for President so hard to see what the end goal of that would be

He’s not from America. He’s actually witnessed communism and authoritarian state run media and government and he hates it. So he has the money to try and make a difference here.
