Had my Tesla Model 3 Long Range for a year now. Best car I've ever owned, and it's not close. Had Mercedes, VW, Toyota Tacoma, etc. For anyone concerned about charging, it charges in my garage for an hour every night and costs me $1 roughly.
Drove it from Knoxville to PCB multiple times. Stopped every 3 hours to piss, eat and charge it. Took 15-20 min to charge, so I walked the dog during that time. It also drove itself for 90% of the way on Autopilot, I won't buy anything else now.

This obviously isn't perfect science as traffic could be different, but we do an annual ski vacation and the drive is 10 hours. We've done it twice in the midrange Tesla and one year the snow was pretty bad so we took my wife's Grand Cherokee. We always time our trips, the Grand Cherokee trip took us 30 minutes longer than the other 2. For a 10 hour drive, it's really not THAT much longer. Or at the very least, not much longer than a lot of folks would think. Like you said, you're charging while you eat at 1 or 2 stops, and then the other 1 or 2 stops factor into the additional 30 minutes.
