i49 is 75 and while interstate, it is rural, lol. But I agree alot of the good 4 lanes have towns with endless redlights you have to stop from 65 to 45-50.
The real issue is the non law enforcement guy posted up in Monroe with a radar and taking pictures of plates and sending a non-law enforcement ticket that they claim you have to pay or it will be turned over to a collection agency (ultimately messing with people's credit). No way that is legal, and I could be wrong but I haven't heard if anyone has tried to bring that to court yet.
i20 is basically a TX speedway. aLways tons of TX plates and they drive like they're on i20 in TX (~85-90).
ETA: There are a some good roads in CenLA and NorthLA and SouthLA. 84 being 4 land would be great but certain parishes will never let that happen. Every state has bad roads. Our interstate system is just fricked.
