Why do Americans no longer get news? Our warmonger government in action on French media

In the past Americans were given a range of sources of pertinent news. No more.
Blinken and Chief Michael Gliday prepping for war with China or something:
"Michael Gilday, chief of US naval operations, spoke following Antony Blinken who claimed that Beijing wanted to seize Taiwan “at a much faster pace” than previously envisaged.
The US military must be ready to respond to a potential invasion of Taiwan by Beijing this year, an admiral warned on Wednesday (October 19th), a sign of growing concern over China's intentions towards the island.
Admiral Michael Gilday, chief of US naval operations, was questioned by the Atlantic Council on the possibility of Beijing seizing Taiwan by 2027.
“Much faster pace”
"It's not just about what President Xi says, it's about how the Chinese behave and what they do," Michael Gilday told the think tank, pointing out that over the past 20 years, Beijing implemented each of its promises earlier than announced.
“So when we talk about 2027, in my mind that (means) 2022 or potentially 2023,” he added. "I can't rule out that possibility. I don't mean to be alarmist in saying that at all. It's just that we can't rule it out."

They are okay with China seizing Taiwan. China just needs to slow it down to the previously agreed pace.
