Sorry to burst the bubble but Canadians, when taken as a whole, love their leftist politics. I worked for the largest employer up there for 15 years. We were being hit with lgbt and diversity crap waaaaaaay before it was trendy here. They don’t fight back on their high taxes, their healthcare system sucks but it is very much part of their identity (one that they’re proud of). The media is a controlled by the left and look at their election history. The left runs that country from the top down and in all areas. Canadians will never be free because they don’t want to be.
But I do love hockey so there’s that.

They're still subjects of the Queen, at least in their mind and they way they act.
Canadian politics, specifically their elections, are a PRIME example of how important our Electoral College is. Most of the time they call their elections LONG before the polls close in BC or Alberta. Quebec runs the country.
