Please explain about k state beating us in basketball?

Didnt the coach bring over his top players from a pretty good team? Why did we lose to k state?

1. Our roster is primarily midmajor talent not top Power 5 conference talent. It is a mish-mash.
2. We were picked to finish in the bottom third of the SEC.
3. K State is a program equal to our's right now. The game was a pick 'em.

KSU had 4 players from the sec and 2 players from the ACC.

KState has good team and this isn’t football. Even mid majors have good team.

If Kansas just won the NCAA tournament, you don’t expect their little brother to be just a little good? Obviously Kansas as a state is a basketball state, same with Indiana.
