Allen is probably a below average intelligence person.

I mean the guy can clearly coach and scheme a defense

he's just not capable of leading an entire team. Pretty obvious from our play no one respects him

Made the playoffs with Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow. Hell, even won a playoff game. He is garbage for sure, but Dennis Allen is on a whole other level of dogshit.

There is a good reason for that. I heard it in passing but they had some former players on a podcast saying mcdaniels would record other teams practices. Very much in the same way NE did.

Supposedly the league found out and he started losing at a rapid pace after that. Couldnt win a game after that

Found it

Mcdaniels recorded practices

Williams claimed that the Broncos were filming their opponents’ practice sessions to give the team an advantage during games. Of course, this is essentially the same misdoing that the New England Patriots were busted and penalized for in the infamous Spygate scandal.

Now, as pointed out there are some inconsistencies. He could be full of shite. But Josh did start out hot and flamed out with almost no explanation

can he really? it took him 8 years before his defense was ready to play a game when the season starts. for all but the last 2 years they werent ready or able to play until the 4th or 5th game of the season.

i think payton put his thumb on the scale of what DA could do and how complicated the defenses he could run so that they could be ready for game 1

a complicated scheme confuses the other team, but it doesnt help if its so confusing that your own team doesnt know what they should be doing and that has always been the problem with DA. for the longest time the running joke is DA doesnt even show up for work until week 5

Hue Jackson went 1-15 (first win was when they were 0-14) in 2016. He wasn't fired and went 0-16 in 2017. He did not get fired after 0-16. He was 1-31 in two years and didn't get fired. He was finally fired when he was 2-5-1 in 2018. He was 3-36-1 in 2.5 years. If you say "Yea he had a shite team, it was all on him. Well Gregg Williams (yes that Gregg Williams) took over for him and went 5-3 in the last 8 and actually had a wild card path until late in the season.

Hue Jackson is the worst coach in recent memory.

Let’s not get carried away. I have seen far worse. I am old enough to remember JD Roberts.
