I started skiing 4 years ago at 26. Took 3 days of lessons my first time and was comfortable on blues by the end of it. I've been hooked ever since. I skied 3 continents and 4 countries in 2019. Worked my way up to skiing pretty much anything.
I was tempted to quit on day 1 though. It feels like you're perpetually slipping at first. The turn mechanics aren't anything what you'd expect. Feels way too easy to get out of control. Almost ran over some toddlers on the bunny slopes. That being said, just stick with it.
