I don’t agree with tearing it down from a trial prospective. The ability for any jurors to see the actual place this happened can make a huge difference. But for those grieving I can understand.

I really hope this goes to trial because I really want some answers as to why he did this.

Yeah. With a split level and people in multiple different rooms it would have been nice for the jury to see the house (assuming the judge would have allowed it).

Actually from the news report I saw on TV, just the opposite. The families of those murdered did NOT want the house razed, they wanted to keep it through the trial. It was the university and owner of the house who asked it be torn down. The police and prosecutors okayed the decision.
