Idk about that. When I lived ITP, I didn't use it on a daily to get to work or dinner or stuff like that since I lived close enough to those things to just drive myself there the majuority fo the time. Any event at mercedes/State Farm, or near centennial, or really anywhere at all downtown was a definite Marta. The once a year or so that I fly was a 100% marta ride and even if that wa sthe only time I ever took marta it would have been well, well worth having jsut for that. $2.50 to not worry about parking or traffic and get dropped off literally inside the airport. You can't beat that.

I'm sure it's decent if you live ITP within walking distance of a station.
As for everyone else, well...there's not much utility outside of things like football games where it's less about quick commuting and more about avoiding traffic/parking hassles.
In the vast majority of situations, the time it takes to drive and park at the station, board and ride the train, and then get to your final destination is going to be nowhere near as fast or convenient as just driving yourself.
