Who here thinks that we can debate our way out of the problem?

This country just got the greatest, most glaringly obvious dose of “democrat policies don’t work”
- Democrat cities burned and are flooded with crime after they wanted to defund the police
- Democrat cities were locked down while Republican cities thrived
- we went from sub $2.00 gas to $5.00 gas in a year
- we went from no war for 4 years back to war.
Etc.
This happened right in front of everyone’s eyes, not just those who are politically active. Yet the same old democrats are voting democrat.
When you start to accept that progressives are an indoctrinated religion you will understand the path we are on. They are as ingrained as evangelicals on the right.
Do you think you can debate an evangelical into atheism? That’s the reality of our problem.
Yea we might win an election here or there based on likeability (Desantis) but unless we start realizing that Democrats didn’t win this election in the last 4-8 years, they won it 40 years ago, we will get crushed.
It’s a long game like China vs US and we need to accept the short term losses and figure out how to make the CULTURAL changes that will result in wins in 40-50 years.

There are exactly 2 solutions.
Divorce or Civil war.
This will NOT be solved peacefully and anyone who thinks so is naïve is as frick.

Dude there are very few republican cities of any relevant magnitude. Almost all big cities are democrat.
The difference is state level policies in this case.

Supply chain issues coming out of the pandemic didn't help. Prices were going to inevitably go up.

If Vegas had betting odds this would be the favorite because the solution I proposed (cultural change) is extremely unlikely.
The point is… no single politician is going to change the culture. Desantis isn’t, Trump isn’t. Therefore all of these elections are short term results that have no long term consequences.

Let's say Desantis does nationally what he did in Florida.
Irrelevant.
The nation was actually closer in terms of relative values when Reagan won 49 states.
We are literally completely unrelated at this point.

No. Too many people won't realize until they can't afford gas and heat, have homes taken, are eating crickets, and kids are forced to get myocarditis. Until then, they just really want to abort babies.

Why is that relevant?
Just take New Orleans and Metairie for example.
If you owned a restaurant in Metairie you did alright in COVID. If you owned a restaurant in New Orleans you got crushed.
Yet all the neck beard weirdos will still vote democrat.
It was the biggest real world example of what we having been debating forever. Yet it still didn’t work.
Because these people have been conditioned to think a certain way since childhood and you aren’t going to change their mind. You can only influence the next generation. If we keep focusing on the present we will keep losing.

They still won’t realize it at that point.
This is exactly what you are missing. So many people here keep saying, “just wait until gas is $10 a gallon. There will always be an excuse as to why it isn’t democrat policies. Just like every evangelical will say “it was gods will”
I’m not saying evangelical beliefs are bad. But when you start to frame democrat beliefs this way you will understand why there was no red wave.

You are 100% correct It is coming the question is when

Potential solution 3: a fifth Great Awakening.
Sadly, it will likely take civil war (or something worse) for that to occur.

It’s mail in voting that’s killing this country.
No mail in voting in Florida and looked what happened. This has to be regulated

FL has mail-in voting.

No that’s a short term problem.
We have depended on democrats being lazy to cover up the cultural illness in this country.
Now with mail in voting it’s making it easier for them to vote but they are still voting their true opinions.
Fixing mail in voting is continuing to mask the problem. I think we should but unless our number 1 focus is cultural then we will fail.
