Alabama will not get more than 100 yards on the ground against LSU. However, they may throw for 300+. LSU will have a tough time on offense. Alabama is very good on defense (especially stopping the run). I think they will take a scheme similar to UF. UF stacked the line; they did not respect our passing game. If we got a big play on them by throwing the ball, then so be it. They continually stacked the line and got tremendous pressure on Lee. LSU MUST run the ball very well and provide excellent pass protection for Lee (as I think Saban will throw every blitz in the world at him). Lee needs to "man up" and stay in the pocket and take some hits instead of getting rid of the ball early. Can we beat them? Yes. Alabama is very beatable. We need to not turn the ball over and force some turnovers. We also need to shorten the game and keep good ball control.

Also, Alabama is in a heap of trouble if old #14 takes an injury. They are not near the team they are without him.

Geaux to hell Alabama and !

If we don't force turnovers we will lose.

The fans have to stay the whoooole game. That should get it done

Honestly, we have to play every quarter on defense like we play in the second half of the USC game. And we have to move the ball on the ground

I disagree. I think it will be spread out equally with about 225 yards rushing and about 225 yards passing, give or take a few yards either way. We have been a pretty balanced offense for the most parts.

I think they will get about 125 on the ground. Think you are on target with 300+ in the air and I would add several TDs from the air...probably on big plays/busted coverages. Agree re: LSU must run well but I don't think that will happen. So, falls back to passing and that is not exactly a strong area at the moment. Expect a few interceptions with one probably a pick 6.

Unfortunately, this prediction isn't much of a stretch

Disagree. Bama has a better ground attack than UGA and almost as good as UF, both of whom ran for well over 100 yds. against our vaunted defense.

Ehh....they may be better by stats, but Coffee and Ingram are no Moreno. UF's running game is just freaking hard to defense. They have all of those sweeps and misdirections plus ManFreak at QB who is a major running threat. Alabama is more of a "traditional" style running team. We seem to do better against those type of Offenses.

No way in hell Sarah Jessica throws for over 300 unless we are blowing Bama out. And as far as pic6's I wouldnt be surprised if he throws more than Lee in this game!!!!!!!!!

I hope not but our D secondary has been consistently subpar...and downright awful at times. We've made subpar QBs look pretty good.

Scoop, where are all those rushing yards going to come from? Bama has only gone over 225 rushing yards 3 times this year: W Kentucky-281, R-Kansas-328, and Kentucky 282. Bama had over 225 passing yds only against W Kentucky of those three games. Against R-Kansas and Kentucky, JPW had 74 and 106 yds passing respectively. He also threw a pick in all three of those games.

I think the one of the biggest things would be if Lee is willing to take a hit and not force a throw.

"Alabama will pass for 300 yards". Dude. Have you seen our pasing game. We'll be lucky to get 153. We run the ball, play physical, aggressive defense and kick well. If u stop us in those 3 areas, LSU will win. Simple as that. If we run for 170, throw for 150 yds and hold LSU under 100 yds rushing Bama wins. No matter if LSU throws for 300. Bama plays ball control and field position. We like to Win the TOP and TO margin. We are going to run and run again. There is no great secret to beating Saban, you just have to do it. 2003 was a vanilla LSU team, offensively, but they would make first downs and keep the chains moving. Defensively, as potent as I've ever seen. Our defense will dictate our offense. Our offense will not dazzle, our defense will get after your arse. As you all know, Saban likes it that way. There's your keys.

JPW did have about 240 yards on us last year. We lost our 2 starting corners and starting strong safety. Alabama picked up Julio Jones. Our secondary as been downright awful at times.
I said that we would hold Alabama to under 100 yards rushing. That would mean Alabama would have to throw a lot to move the ball on us.

They'll get over 100 in each half. Also, they'll get over 100 in at least one quarter. For the game, they'll be around 275-300 rushing. Passing, they'll get about 150 or so early while the game is still somewhat competitive, then throw maybe one or two passes in the second half.

No.

A different question entirely. Florida can beat them. We can't. We can't even give them a game.

They don't have to be. They are so much better than we are, it doesn't matter who gets hurt. Alabama will blow us the hell out. It will be over before halftime.
