I know many of you are lacking confidence in this game, as am I, but I am here today to show some bright spots and give a little bit of hope to us.

Playing Alabama this year is essentially playing ourselves. The similarities in our offense is unreal. Example:

JPW - 124/204 for 1412 yds, 8TDs, 4 INTs, and QB rating of 127.9
JLee - 106/189 for 1427 yds, 12TDs, 10INTs, and QB rating of 129.9

VERRRYYY close stats. they dont have any big name receivers (unless you count julio jones)

We both have a leading rusher on the brink of 900 yds on the year with Scott and Coffee, and both teams have solid backups that can come in and pick up yards just as well as the starter. They are a well balanced team jsut as we are, and they going to try to establish the run. in my opinion if there is one thing we can do well its stop the run (at least the run up the middle) IF our dline steps up and forces wilson to make some passes and shuts down their run game, we may have a chance. i know i know our pass defense is terrible, but the fact that they dont have numerous receivers that can beat us every play like florida and georgia did, i think we can hold our own.

KEYS TO VICTORY:

1. establish the run game. if our O line gives us holes and scott can get past the initial line, were going to have a biiiggg day
2. Be mistake free. Lee needs to learn that at this poiint, he doesnt need to make the huge play. just get the ball to the hands of the guys who CAN make the huge play ie lafell/byrd
3.get off on the right foot. if you recall the FIRST PLAY from scrimmage for both of our losses resulted in a TD for the opposing team. the tipped catch that harvin scored on and the pick 6 vs georgia. we were constantly playing from behind. if we can get ahead early and put some pressure on bama things may be different.

BEAT BAMA!!!!

The Harvin catch was NOT the first play from scrimmage, FWIW.

Another reason why stats don't tell the whole story. Many of those INT's were crucial, half were run back for TD's. Bama isn't an explosive offense. More ball control.

It was 3rd. They had 2 plays of negative yards then the long play to Harvin on 3rd down.

This is where your keys to victory fall off the wagon. If you look at Lee's interceptions, few were the result of trying to make the "big play". Most were on fairly conservative pass calls.

The KEY to victory will be to control the ball on offense period. If we don't do that we'll get stomped.

picks could kill us and we can't count on the D to get the ball back.

Gonna be hard to open "alot" of anything through the off line with Cody back.

KEYS TO VICTORY: Jump out to an early lead, 1 turnover maximum, must be successful in the passing game in order to be able to run the ball

Not likely. Possible but we have only trailed for 1:15 the entire year. Secondly, we are winning the first half something like 170ish to 35ish. Again, possible, not likely.

Serious question b/c I don't know. How many games have you guys had 1 turnover or less this year?

It's going to be tough to do either one. We will have the best defense you will have seen all year.

That's a big "if" considering Bamas rush defense.

Possibly. USCe has a pretty good defense. So does AU.

One thing we have done is score on everyone. Lowest score was 21 against UF. I think it'll be a fairly high scoring game on both sides.
