I can see LSU playing this as their pride game. Anything other than an inspired LSU team on the field Saturday and we can acknowledge we have serious internal problems.

I'm expecting a close game if not an LSU upset.

Or it means that you have a young team. Or it means that Bama was even more up for the game. Or it means that Bama THIS year has a better combination of experience and talent than we do. Or it means that the ball took some really bad bounces for us. Or it could mean the officials really called a bad game. Or it could mean that Saban came up with the perfect game plan against our great game plan. Or it could mean lots of other things.

I guess I am in a foul mood today my owls lost a game IN THE MOST PAINFUL WAY POSSIBLE.

In short I could simply have said that a loss sometimes really doesn't mean all that much. Stop playing doom and gloom if we lose to bama. It happens. I think sometimes younger fans who don't remember some of the bad times get all panicky with some losses. Any kind of change can make things worse as well as better.

Change for the sake of change is not a good idea. A loss to a bama team that is playing better than us doesn't mean we have to tear it all down and start over again. It doesn't mean there are internal problems. It means we lost a game against a team that is expected to beat us.

Do you know why they are expected to beat us? Because they have played better than we did this year. Heck, many at the start of the year thought we were going to do no better than 9-3. That is what we are on pace to do. I guess when we beat up ASU or Tulane or UNT, people get overestimate how well we are playing.
