It will be me and my wife. We have never been to Europe, so I think I would prefer to use a travel agent that is very detail-oriented and will help us plan every day, or travel with a group. BUT, after doing some research, I do not want to spend a lot of time in Rome. Most of the travel groups I’ve looked at spend the largest portion of time in Rome.

What do you and your wife like to do? What have been some memorable trips or cities you’ve visited and what did you like about them? Just answering those two questions will give this board more than enough information to give some great ideas.

Having everything planned for me by someone else is not my style of traveling and I have not used a travel agent in many years except for cruises. That said, the first time I went to Europe in 1996 we went on a Globus tour and enjoyed it very much. You may want to look into one of those. They do all the planning and driving and arrange for you not to have to stand in any lines. And they don’t spend more than a couple of days in any place.
