I tried everything in my other house. Waxes, sealants, rain x. etc. Even though you glass is sealed you may not etch the glass but spotting still happens from minerals if you don't wipe it down. Grant it most of the water does run off but what stays behind will spot. Either from minerals or soap scum. That is why our new shower was built door less.

I also have a sealant on my car and while I can get rid of the spotting it still dries.
