I guess when you’re a capital city with a metro population over 800k, one would expect more than just: "Ruth’s. And there is no close second".

Well, Ruth's is that good IMO. I think the hands on ownership sets it apart.

Its essentially not a chain restaurant is why. Their steaks will standup next to any place in the country

I realize this sounds silly if you haven’t been, but it’s not the same as every other RC. Others have explained why that is so I won’t rehash.

I’ve had better experiences at the BR Ruth’s Chris than I have at Peter Luger in Brooklyn, and while the experience at St. Elmo’s is cool the food wasn’t all that better overall. And as is well documented here, Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak in Vegas is awful and far inferior (in my opinion).

But I don’t really get the hype over steakhouses so maybe I’m not the right audience.
