#70 Pass EFF. defense which is more telling stat.
All defenses in the Big 12 are pretty bad for the most part this year, but keep in mind Texas' secondary has 3 freshmen in it. Including a 2-star safety.

stats might be a little skewed.... they lead by alot in every game. teams are forced to throw all game long against them

They've gone down, a couple of weeks ago they were 96th. TT will test that secondary heh.

No doubt it will get worse playing Texas Tech. They'll probably throw it on them 65-70 times.

Check where they are in scoring defense.

...and they have a few really talented QBs in the Big-12 this year.

No one in that conference has a championship caliber defense

TT is at 98 in pass defense and 39th in scoring defense.
UT is at 28 in scoring defense.
Texas is at #3 in rush defense and TT is at 14.
Texas is at #43 in total defense and TT is at 58th.

They've gone against 3 top offenses in a row - OK, MO and OK St. It will probably get worse today when they go against TT. It's hard to guage how good or bad the D is when it goes against 4 top flight aerial attacks.
