60k. LSU fans are fickle and care more about the tailgate than the game

If we ever find ourselves playing on Thursday night you will know something went terribly wrong with the program somewhere.

We played miss state on Thursday night during the miles era. Me and son went to the game. I remember miles saying we would never do that in Baton Rouge. Was ok going over there but sucked that weekend. Felt like a buy week that Saturday

We've played on Thursday night before. We beat Mississippi State 45-0 on Thursday, August 30, 2007, and were #2 in the country at the time.

They were generally some middle-of-the-road ACC school or C-USA team. However, there would be, on occassion, a pretty decent match-up.

That game was the season opener. It kicked off a pretty awesome year of college football.

I’d take a Thursday night game WAY over an 11am kickoff

1973 game vs. Bama was on Thanksgiving Night if I recall correctly. Both teams were 9-0. Bama hit two big plays early and won 21-7.
