How will the staff get down to the 40 man limit from the 44 we are at now?

It has a way of working itself out
Players have a pretty good idea where they stand after fall practices and scrimmages
Some players have injury issues that impact the roster as well
I wish the NCAA would expand the roster permanently
Maybe you could even have almost like a practice roster of 5 extra in case you have injuries especially to pitchers or just the need to have bullpen catchers

The limit isn't 40, it's 35+5 COVID year guys. We currently only have 4 guys that qualify for the COVID year so our limit is 35 plus those 4.

There will probably be guys that leave at the semester break. There will be guys that agree to redshirt. There will be injuries.

The more talent the bring in, the easier it becomes. Players realize they won’t play.

We will never need five catchers. That's a start.
