The man sat at Notre Dame for years and watched the SEC have its pick of the best athletes out there - mainly LSU and Alabama. Now he’s the head man at LSU and can get almost anyone he wants. He’s drooling over the potential he has now and wants it all. He’s hungry as hell and I say, “let ‘em have it”.

For better or for worse, I do believe that Brian Kelly would do ANYTHING for a national title. His ego is huge and he needs that trophy.
Not saying that is a bad thing whatsoever, but he left ND for one reason only.

^^THIS^^
And you can add the success he's had this year into the mix as well. If we somehow beat Bama in his first year with a patchwork roster, what do you think that tells potential recruits?
Instead of wondering whether or not to join a rebuilding program, they'll be wondering if they should jump in and commit while there's still a roster slot available.
And, just like with Saban at Bama, success will breed further success. After this first year, if Kelly continues to improve the team over the next few years LSU will become a prime destination for blue-chip recruits.
My dream is for LSU to become so desirable to 5* recruits that we don't have to continually worry about flips (or outright losing recruits) to Bama.
