Oh heck that’s a tough one to recall. First thing we had was a telephone line on a pole out by the rode. Had a handset on it. Anyone could use it if you felt up to the pole climb. That must have been around late 40’s or early 50’s. We had some big city folks buy up the Boudreaux land next to us. The husband used that phone a whole lot as did their farm hand names Eb. Good times.
