Bullet Strat.
Did I make an upgrade or did I spend forty bucks for soldering practice?
This guard has the the push/pull volume pot to split the humbucker.
Side note I am itching to make my second acoustic. Either a D-18 or 000-18 copy.
ETA thanks to the poster who put up the Robert Cray stratosphere loaded pickguard. I did not get it. It is now gone. But they have gen 4 noiseless loaded. Gotta milk a little overtime though.

Yeah.. I don't know if that will be much of an upgrade, but did they say what it came off of? If it was a classic vibe, that would be an upgrade, and you shouldn't have to do any soldering. Maybe the output jack.
I haven't heard the Gen 4 noisless strats, but I have played the player plus telly with the gen 4 vintage noiseless. That sounded really good, just like a telly without the buzz. I wasn't crazy about the sound of the series setting, but I didn't have a lot of time to play with it, and was using an amp that I'm not familiar with. Probably with a bit more time, I could have figured it out and got a decent sound.
I bought one of those loaded player plus telly pickguards from stratosphere, but haven't put it on a guitar yet.
It's too bad you missed out on the robert cray deal. You have to move fast on those types of deals, because they might only have 1 or 2 and they get gone fast.
I looked over at stratosphere, and I think I see what you bought. That might be a pretty good upgrade after all. Change it out tonight and let us know.

Yeah. It’s not used. It’s just their brand new stuff. They put it together. I’m sure it’s overseas components put together nicely.
The Robert Crays would be for my MIM Strat. Not this Squier. I think you know that. But I’m just clarifying.
I like my MIM Fender. I want something that’s a no question upgrade. And in that 200 buck range.

Bumped to add.
I completed it. Works fine. Looks great. IF you font look inside at my first time solder job. Looks like someone’s first welding job instead of solder. But they stick.
The PUPS sound good to my ear and I still need to tweak their height. Slight issues with holes. Apparently Chinese and Indonesian holes do not agree. Lol. But only slightly.

You'll get better at it with practice. I bet you will start doing more now.
It's really not expensive to upgrade your guitars, if you do the work yourself, and it's really pretty easy.
Guitar parts factory has the Fender Jimmy Vaugn strat/ Tex-Mex pickups for 100 bucks a set. Those are brand new never installed.
By the way, Guitar parts factory is a first rate company. Super fast shipping and never disappoint.
