Man there are quite a few parallels. Never thought about it.

I'm equally excited about Mo Pete and Sual Murder. They've both had 2 great games in a row. Hilton hung in there and hopefully that will help his confidence, and Ely was serviceable.

Guess maybe my predictions that I made earlier don't look quite so far-fetched now, eh?

Posey is such a better option off the bench then Pargo it is sick.

Yes and no. While he does a lot more for the team with his defense and intensity, Pargo was a very, very legitimate backup to CP. Now we're stuck with Mike James.

With what money? We are already invested in James, which no one will trade for because of his contract and lack of value at this point. No one is going to make us a meaningful trade unless it includes Julian Wright, who we're not going to give up for a backup PG. We can't afford to give up either Hilton or Ely because we're slim up front. If we gave one of them up we would likely have to look for someone else at that same position.

James' value lies in the fact that he is an expiring contract

You can get a serviceable backup PG pretty cheap midseason IMO. Mavs got Lue last year who wasn't great, but was adequate

When your starting PG is the best in the league, you don't need a GOOD PG behind him... just an adequate one.

Yeah, well James is not even adequate... We sucked nuts tonight when he was in. I hope he can pull it together, but im no where even close to being sold on him.

I think mid-season is always a good time to pick up a decent player who wants out of a struggling team, but it's always a risk bringing in new players. Posey said after the game that he still doesn't know our plays and he spent the offseason with us. I would love to see a guy like Antonio Daniels come in. We need a guy to come in a keep the pace up but know his role as a true PG, even if it's only for 7-10 minutes a game. Guy seems to play hard and would fit in well here.

Earl Watson comes to mind if OKC doesnt start out well (which they wont) they would probably trade him for a 2nd rd pick

Would you say that he's the glue that holds the team together or the stir that straws the drink?

Jesus, "The Hornets need another creator" is like your NBA version of "Reggie Bush is a nice kick returner" schtick.
