"There were 20 to 25 of them out here yesterday," another neighbor said. "Conspiring in a circle talking. No one getting down. Everyone want you to lie saying the police didn't run the stop sign. Yes he did. Yes he did. Yes he did."

"They don't care," a neighbor said. "Our neighborhood, we live in a combat zone. If people want to smoke weed, that's their business... why would he run behind one person and jeopardize everyone else? He didn't give a damn."

When cops are chasing a suspect do they not put on lights and siren. When that happens and you can finally see where sirens are coming from I try to get of the way and don’t cross intersections until they pass. That’s usually a legal requirement where I have usually lived. Cops have to do better at making sure cars are getting out of the way, staying clear of intersections being crossed, and directing additional cars to cut suspects off versus pursue.

I have no clue about demographics around this intersection and just commenting on north Baton Rouge in general below.

If north Baton Rouge cared about anything besides when cops involve maybe they wouldn’t live in a self described combat zone. They also have to do better and not support the people doing the crap where they live.

Almost everything said about cops could be self directed to north Baton Rouge residents - conspiring in groups to avoid pointing finger at those doing wrong in community, actually lie to cops saying they didn’t see anything, saying the the original driver being chased didn’t do anything wrong outside wanting to smoke weed and I guess drive while smoking it (smoke weed wasn’t mentioned on original article at this wreck so person knows something news didn’t or is just making it up), not caring about the crap going on in neighborhood unless cops or another group can be blamed, and constantly allowing those didn’t do nothings to jeopardize everyone else in neighborhood.

Start pointing those cameras at those in community and share the criminal behavior with the cops. They constantly bring out cameras to film everything but somehow miss the shite where they live when perps look like them.

I also wonder what the racial break down is with all these payments along with break down of neck braces worn by victims afterwards…
