For those of you that has seen both play, how does Benton compare to Randle. Are they similier in talent. Say if Randle does happen to go elsewhere, will Benton play help ease the pain.

They're both around the same height but they don't really play all that similar from what I see.

Benton is a big, physical receiver (think Dwayne Bowe)

Benton is unreal... He's like a more physical version of Chad Johnson. The best overall WR I've seen play in HS. Great blocker, jump ball WR and playmaker. Randle is a beast as well, but I wouldn't say one is better than the other, however, obviously Randle has the edge as a student. Have both, plus a burner like Bell makes an unstoppable force at WR all from Northeast La...and Tolliver no slouch either.

Could you compare Randle's style to maybe Micheal Clayton's maybe.

if Benton is like DBow and Randle is like Clayton thats a pretty good sign...i have seen both play in the dome and when randle was a soph at that time he look better than benton in that game.

Is it even fair to think we could have arguably the top two WR's coming into college for the fall?

I mean damn Benton, Randle, and Debose. Can't do anymuch better than that (crosses fingers)

I think that what makes Randle elite is his versatility. He is amazing in the open field after he makes the catch and is so smooth with such long strides and makes defender after defender miss.

Boy if we could add Debose to that mix we will have lightning in a bottle.

Randle looks like a deer, loafing, long strides that makes him look like he's not running as fast as he really is. If I had to compare him to an NFL guy I'd go with Fitz.

The Sporting News compared Randle to Randy Moss for ability to get open deep

Moss was the first one that came to mind, but Randle is so much more versatile. He actually runs routes instead of just jump balls. Fitz is great at jump balls too, but he will actually go over the middle as well. That's why I say Fitz and stick by it.

Benton is a Irvin/Johnson type. I really see strong comparisons between randle and someone like marvin harrison with a shade of randy moss but the big plays of TO.

Important Question here:

Is Benton in shape after two years off?

Plus, he has had two years to bulk up. If he's in shape, he should be more mature physically.
