will be critical to the outcome Saturday. Not that they’re not always critical and the main thing will be which teams’ players actually go out there and make plays, but a lot of the work to put our players in positions to be successful and actually make those plays has probably already been done.

In his presser Monday, Kelly talked about how important it was do a great job of self scouting because of how good Kiffin is at picking up your defensive tendencies and having a plan to recognize and exploit them. So you have to be prepared to change your looks with different personnel, formations, etc…

And I’ve heard Hester breaking down their 69 running plays last week and they run of different types of runs out of the same looks.

It will be the same on the other side of the ball as well. Self-scouting and being able to recognize your tendencies and not just change them, but use them to your advantage is always important.

But I think it’s especially important this week just by the nature of Kiffin’s offense and the fact that we’be got 7 straight weeks on film and haven’t had a bye yet to really be able to change things up (though I think Denbrock did a really good job of this Saturday).

Anyway, I’ll be interested to see the chess match by the coordinators Saturday, the 1st few moves having already been made. Who’s gonna better anticipate the changes to the others’ game plans and create and install their own accordingly. And who, in-game, will be the 1st to see things and make adjustments. Like I said earlier, ultimately, the players have to go make the plays, but I think this game is particularly important to both coaching staffs and we should get their best intellectual efforts leading up to and throughout the game.

Good news is one of our weaknesses has been not playing Perkins enough.

Hopefully we have that self scouted and fixed.

When you don’t hire your kids to be analysts, things turn out well.

If Daniels is going to continue having success throwing the ball, it will have to be over the top

They are not going to let him find receivers open because of 10-15 yard cushions That gap will be significantly closed

FL's secondary skills don't even qualify to be called skills or talent. They were sandlot level. No evidence of coaching.

I haven't seen anything that bad in the SEC since Pelini was fired

ETA- I saw very little of the game live due to Astros game I rewatched it last night for the first time
