What's Carl Reese up to these days?

I've looked him up and can't seem to find anything on what he is presently doing. Is he just chilling in Missouri or what?
I wonder if he'd be willing to run a defense.
He stepped down at Texas after the '03 season, not sure he stepped down on his own or what, but maybe he's caught his second wind.

It would be nice to see carl back in purple and gold. Maybe he could bring Michael Brooks back with him to do some Linebacker coaching?

I still think Joe Lee Dunn is the man for the job.

no lie, Joe Lee was the head coach at Ridgeway last year. (Josh Jaspers) school.
Jackie Sherill still lives in G-town. I saw him at Hobby Lobby picking out some yarn a month or so ago.
Not sure why I was in a Hobby Lobby, but you better bet I was doing some manly stuff.

Perhaps.

Joe Lee is out at New Mexico State, with Mr. Air Raid Offense.

Y'all want him, you can have him.
Just watch out for those big games. This is the same DC who let OU hang 60+ on our asses twice. And that's only the start of it.

No Carl Reese...he was hot and cold.

He held his own quite well at LSU. I still remember Florida entering TS as #1 and leaving TS as something less than #1. Defense played a big role in that. I also remember how things crashed after he left. Granted, DiNardo hired a loser named Lou Tepper, which also hurt things. Tepper might have known football right and left, but if you can't teach it to your players, it's useless. Reese could teach, which is a major skill in coaching.

Phil Bennett was a better DC than Carl Reese.

No thanks. As I mentioned in another thread, DiNardo/Watts/Reese blew three games in 1997 at home they should have won. I think we could do better. That said, I would take him over Mallveto. I would take Tepper over Mallveto.

I would like to see him come back. Anything is better than the 2 idiots we have now.

Better yet, what's Allen Stansberry (one of Reese's Tiger disciples) doing these days? All I can gather from Dandy Don is that he was last mentioned to be living in Las Vegas. We need him coaching the linebackers. The guy was pure awesomeness as a player who knew where he was supposed to be all the time.

why not Mike Calais?
this scheme with all it's man coverage and inconsistent pressure reminds of Reese actually. you had to love his ability to mix up the game plan from week to week... except when the players kinda looked confused by it
