Part of the reason so many people get on him is because of his divisive approach to the subject. That’s his choice, though. He doesn’t have to handle it the way that he does.

There are plenty of people out there, experts and guys in media as well, who have valid reasons to either support playoff expansion or be ambivalent about it. Calling all of them casuals is just bullshite. There are plenty of causal fans out these who just regurgitate the last sound byte they picked up, but everyone who disagrees with Josh Pate isn’t that.

All that said, I still listen to most of his shows during the week and love his game analysis. But I hit stop and delete anytime he jumps on the soapbox and gets rolling.
