Indianapolis and Minneapolis both have roofed stadiums, so I didn't think it would be that burdensome. Whereas NY/NJ doesn't.

The ONLY reason MetLife got a Super Bowl with a new outdoor stadium was because it was the New York metro area. Gillette in New England didn't get one, neither did Cleveland, Philly, Seattle, Denver or Cincinnati when they built new outdoor stadiums.

Again, though they have domed stadiums, Minneapolis and Indianapolis in early February are NOT destination cities for a Super Bowl. They got their one Super Bowl as a reward for building a new stadium; they are now done.
