I wish we could have seen Lewis play. He’s a guy (along with Hayes & temple) where you DO have to make a roster decision. if Trey winds up taking a leap, then you have to play him. Billy can take spot/rotation frontcourt minutes. Zion can spot at the 5 in small ball. You have nance who needs 20 minutes

same for Lewis. Regardless of game situation I think you play dyson even if Lewis were a go. Herb will lead the team in minutes. You can’t take Jose’s minutes. Graham needs minutes. Nothing there for Lewis?

they are both hurt but that’s my main preseason takeaway. Pels have enough depth to make their 2019 and 2020 1st round picks superfluous

Agreed. Naji’s biggest attributes are energy, athleticism, and most importantly AVAILABILITY! The regular season is long and we will need Naji (like others have said) to just be available to beat on other teams and eat up minutes when needed.

for those new to pels.
2019
zion #1 overall.
also had 4th from lakers Davis deal and traded down and got 8 and 17.
took hayes 8th. a reach. bouncy 6 11 athlete with no game to speak of.
now in year3 and showed promise in year2 including playoffs.
took naw 17th. Alexander walker. dealt away in multi player deal. may yet figure it out. some days brilliant but usually not even starter material.

2020
kira lewis 13th.
6 1 and very fast. serious injury right after his best games in nba after a poor career start. in the meanwhile pels dealt for cj McCollum. cj starts.
kira may never start a Pels game this season.
that is the gentle version 2019 2020 pels picks story.
