Paul Petersen - "She Rides With Me"
Paul P. was the annoying son on The Donna Reed Show
He recorded several teen idol records, one of which, the maudlin "My Dad", actually made the top 10.
The same month the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan, he released the above single, which was produced and co-written by no less a personage than Brian Wilson.
It uses the Leslie Speaker distorted vocal effect two years before The Beatles did it on "Tomorrow Never Knows"

Gerry Goffin-Carole King and Howard Greenfield-Jack Keller were two of the Brill Building's top songwriting teams.
On a lark they decided to switch partners for one song. The Goffin-Keller collaboration sank without trace. This was the Greenfield-King song:
The Everly Brothers - "Crying In The Rain"
Despite the song's success, King and Greenfield never wrote together again.

Jackie Lomax - "Sour Milk Sea" - recently unearthed video, produced for German TV in 1968
I'm pushing the thread criteria here, as this is not so much a unique pairing as it is an extraordinary teaming.
Lomax was an old Liverpool friend of The Beatles, and George Harrison wrote this song for him.
The backing band:
Guitar: George, Eric Clapton
Bass: Paul
Drums: Ringo
In other words, about as close to a Beatles record as you can get without it officially being The Beatles.
