It seems like in 10 years student apartments will be 10 miles from campus. Everyone moves into the new complex and then 4/5 years later a newer place is built a few miles away and the old ones are section 8. Everyone wants a new place with new amenities.

I would assume the owners are making guaranteed money without having to do anything on section 8 so they have little reason to sell.

Ruining prime real estate near the flagship university.

Why would LSU or the state let this happen?

Where do kids go out now days?
