What should the MLS calendar look like?

It seems like having the playoffs in the middle of football season is really dumb.
On the other hand, because the MLS spans such a wide geographic area, playing in the winter is tough.

No solution is perfect, which is why this discussion is still happening, but I think it should basically be the same as the Bundesliga (August-May with a winter break).

You don’t think it should play in June and July at all? I know most leagues don’t, but June and July are two of the sparsest sports months in the US.
What do you think about scheduling for things like Leagues Cup and Concacaf Champions League?
What about an apertura and clausura setup?

Having playoffs on the same time as the cowboys thanksgiving game is just pure stupidity
